In a new version of the Extension Talks UC Davis Chile, held on December 22, we had the opportunity to share with Helen Dahlke, associate professor at the department of Land, Air and Water Resources at UC Davis to talk about aquifer recharge. 

During the seminar we also had the presence of Federico Errázuriz, executive secretary of the National Irrigation Commission (CNR); Oscar Cristi, general director of water (DGA) and Jose Luis Arumi, professor of the UdeC, who was also moderator.

A new water consortium for the Central-South Macrozone of Chile
 

The associative work has been key in the UC Davis Chile proposal since its beginnings. This has been reflected in different Center activities, however, one of the most relevant ending 2020 is the Consortium of Water Resources Management in the Central-South Macrozone of Chile, a proposal led by the University of Concepcion, and awarded in collaboration with the Institute of Agricultural Research (INIA) and the Universities of Chile, Católica, Bernardo O`Higgins and Diego Portales.

On Wednesday, December 9, 2020, the International Seminar on Technological Exploration was held virtually, an activity organized jointly by ExploraTec UDD, from the Universidad del Desarrollo and UC Davis Chile. This activity is framed in the collaboration agreement that both institutions are executing.
