Biochemist from the University of Chile and a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Santiago de Chile with more than 10 years of experience in applied research, particularly focused on systems of lignin degradation, characterization of genes, transgenics in grapes and stone fruits, and development of systems that control gene expression. He worked for 12 years at the Institute of Agricultural Research (INIA) La Platina, developing and coordinating activities in the area of ​​molecular biology in Fondef projects of CONICYT and Technological Consortia. It has a dozen publications and two patent applications.
