Biologist with a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Santiago, Chile. He has extensive experience in scientific development and bioproducts business strategy, primarily on applied microbiology and enzymology. He has worked in prototyping, scaling, formulation and packaging of enzymes and pigments. In addition to developing marketing strategies for R&D. He worked as Executive Manager for the European biotechnology company Swissaustral Biotech and in the Bioscience Foundation.
Freddy has published numerous scientific papers on applied microbiology and has led various public and private projects in the areas of bio-business development and the scaling of bioproducts.
